Improving chemical management in supply chains is a critical challenge for businesses. Sourcing Journal, a trade publication for apparel and textile executives, has recognised BEPI’s Supply Chain Chemical Management Module as one of the top 10 sustainability moments of 2016 (subscription only).
Launched in May 2016 in collaboration with Intertek, the chemical module provides a common set of tools and standards that businesses have long needed to improve their supply chain chemical management and respond to detox concerns.
This mention is also a recognition of BEPI’s successful collaboration established with ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Foundation) to scale chemical management in supply chains. FTA has recently contributed extensive technical knowledge and expertise to ZDHC’s recently launched training academy. Together, we are working towards reducing the use of hazardous chemicals in textiles and footwear value chains.
