The BSCI Commitment is a prerequisite for joining our initiative. It is a mechanism to ensure all companies implement the BSCI Code of Conduct; aiming to achieve a gradual progress towards improved working conditions in the factories and farms they source from.

Although BSCI relies heavily on capacity building and strengthening stakeholder relations to generate impact; BSCI also requests a minimum number of audits of production sites BSCI participating companies source from in order to measure the impact achieved.

An internal Commitment Council is co-ordinated within the BSCI Steering Committee; this group checks the implementation of our companies' commitment and advises on progress towards achieving its goal.
