An organisation of workers that promotes and protects the interests of its members in issues such as wages and working conditions, especially through negotiations with employers.
The company selling the goods. They have not self-produced the goods. The deliveries of the goods are made outside the EU. For the BSCI purposes, a trader is a supplier.
A process that aims at improving knowledge, skills, attitudes, and/or behaviours in a person so that he/she will be able to accomplish a specific job task or goal. Training is often focused on business needs and driven by time-critical business skills and knowledge. Its goal is often to improve performance.
A principle that implies openness, communication, and accountability to those putting this principle in place. Transparency requires operating in such a way that it is easy for others (particularly stakeholders) to see what actions are performed and how.
